I mean when you go as far as having her blackballed from any prominent law firm in Philadelphia, even after she informed him that she was pregnant he didn't follow up to see if she was lying. The sister, on the other hand, was just misunderstood. I only have myself to blame. The violinist began to play and it was her cue to walk to her groom. The color popped against her mahogany skin. It was like the first time all over again. Everyone is quickly forgiven, from Ashley to his bunch of rotten siblings and it is just purely infuriating.
. Hmmm, I liked it, but some things were too convenient, Ashley's mom was over-the-top bad and I always dislike when the heroine's best friend is an awful person, but at least she still had her family to fall back on and wasn't totally isolated from others save for the hero. Where is this all coming from? I am all about forgiving, but its harder to forget. And that's all I'm going to say about that!!! But it kept me interested. I was hoping he would become selfless and his actions would speak louder than his previous words. It would probably take time before the business made a profit but at least the younger man seemed focused for the first time in years.
It was natural for him to take the word of the mother he hated and blamed for his dad's death. She loves to hear from her fans, so feel free to contact her at Eve evevaughn. He didn't understand his own feelings! The things that Ashley who even angry is still and never stopped being, in love with Skylar did and said to her was horrible and not so easy to forget-even with children involved. You cannot help but wonder, does it really justify his behaviour? I am soo mad right now. Not Ashely or some of the additional characters who I would have loved to take a cast iron skillet to. That sob story he spilled was no excuse for how he acted.
It's a book of what jealousy, pride, and fear can cost someone. He swallows the evidence and humiliates the heroine at the wedding. They forgave him too quickly. You guys keep me going when I sometimes fall behind. I don't think Ashley suffered nearly enough before his redemption. She only had eyes for one person. After hardening his heart against Skylar he leaves her standing at the altar on their wedding day.
It is the typical story. The best part to look forward to is obviously the part where he finally realises that it was all a scheme and how much he had wronged the heroine, but it took two-third of the book until the reader gets there. Fully optimized for all platforms - no additional software required! I felt that the hero, Ashley, fell for the lies his family spun too quickly, and the reason his sister gave for ending his relationship was weak af. And then he narrowed his eyes and firmed his lips to a tight line. She can be contacted through her website at:.
This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. Skylar tried to pull her hand away but Ashley held it firm. If you really love s No one writes a male lead as a total jerk as well as this author does. I hated Ashley seriously his cruelty takes the cake but what others did to the Skyler was even worse! I wished she had done it with her steel-toe boots. Skylar Brown is set to marry the man of her dreams. Then when he sees undeniable proof the kids are his, he decides he wants to get to know him. Eve Vaughn is an amazing writer.
We will not sell or rent your email address to third parties. The hero is even named Ashley Hollingsworth. I realize that this book could have been so much better, it wasn't my cup of tea. She noticed the music no longer played and people looked on in silence, some stunned, while a few wore smug grins. Sigh, I'm getting a refund. I was baffled through out this whole book and found myself skipping ahead a lot just to get done quick.
James Rothschild was one of the first jerks I read about by this author and she wrote him well. Beautiful Skylar and Ashley's story reminds me of why I fell in love with Eve Vaughn's work so many years ago. You will find yourself in a love-hate relationship with Skylar and Ashley, who will make you feel like you wanna smack them both. Not for me Skylar and Ashley are to be married,on the day of their wedding Ashley shows up and tells Skylar he will not be marrying her, a devastated Skylar can't believe it, and tries to talk to her husband to be but Ashley tells her to get out of his life and stay out, Skylar leaves with her heart in pieces, fast forward 5 years and they run into each other and things turn ugly, but what Ashley didn't know was he didn't leave Skylar alone at all and now the real games begin. I don't know if I didn't like it completely but there were a lot of times were I was like nope this wouldn't have happen in real life. I'd hope any book I purchased on a whim for that amount at least involved a proof reader. Skylar and Ashley just wanted a healthy baby.
I would have had more respect for this story if the heroine had stuck with just co-parenting with the hero and dating someone else. He had to sleep with a ton of trampy, shallow blondes and still couldn't forget the heroine. Skylar was weak she didn't make the Ashley work nearly hard enough to make up for is actions , Ashley was dumb as a rock and his family were criminals. I liked seeing Ashley realize what a total jackass he'd been in his handling of things and the steps he takes to make things right.
