I'm sure there is much more to tell, but this series covered the overview over decades of this important movement to how we arrive at the stunning reality of today. The ones I recognised were relegated to small, barely seen roles. Also starring Auli'i Cravalho, Damon J. It moves along nicely thru the decades. There is a lot of important American history to be told here, history that has been hidden from the general public so making this worth watching should have been a priority. What can be so easy to forget and this show helps us to remember is how extremely difficult these rights were to achieve. Ken finds salvation by joining an inclusive church and becoming a minister.
The story is told through the eyes of an ensemble cast of characters, and the story begins with the Stonewall Riots of 1969, a watershed moment in the founding of the modern gay rights movement. But, this is a review of the program, and I would say give it a watch. I find it interesting that there a relatively few out gay actors in lead roles. It feels like a punishment trying to watch this. Lou Mazzuchelli Josh Radnor , an uninspired English teacher at Stanton High, petitions to take over as director of the school's theater program in an attempt to revitalize his passion for teaching, but quickly realizes he has his work cut out for him. I only hope with the new administration that we don't slide backwards, but it's not looking promising. I'd recommend this for folks who want to see how far we have come since Stonewall.
